PE-UHMW belongs to the family of polyethylene .UHMW-PE is having very good sliding properties and  high toughness. 
The chemical resistance is also very high.Because of the very low dielectric loss factor, high-frequency welding not possible .
But all other welding procedures shall work without any problems. 
 UHMWPE rods are available in natural, black and blue colour  .
